Sunday, December 2, 2007 I didn't post yesterday cos' I came back real late...so there will be 2 posts for today... N December 1st...Concert Day! Finally it's over...the preasure is all off...and band pracs have been put to a rest...for the time-being -.-"...woke up at like 7 today...then my sister gave me a lift to school for the last day of the exchange programme...still never actually talk to them sia...like always get seperated cos of the Band A and Honour Band division...damn sian lah...but i'm just mildly pissed off....Other sec twos and SOME sec 1s are really damn pissed and have different opinions on why we were split into the Band A/Honour Band thing...Some thinks it's to differenciate the good members from the bad...but Band A mostly consists of Sec 1s and some sec 2s...Some even think that it's the sec 3s way of humilitating us cos its their last year as sec 3s...but whatever they wanna think they can go ahead...There was band rehearsal in the morning and percussion section practiced samba...was quite ok lah...lol always get off for the claves part...haha...then had a lunch at Macs...Came back and had more band rehearsals...Before lunch the rehearsals went through every single piece we were playing for the concert...then at about 5.30 or so we had to change into our long sleeve shirts and long white pants and the belt and black leather shoes...look so formal...haha...well it kinda is a formal event...we had a catered dinner by our school but I didn't eat anything...jus drank some fruit punch...Finally it was time for the concert...BM's said a few words of encouragement to qsyche psyche us up for the performance...haha...didn't really feel nervous cos' we were performing in front of parents...lol...so we put on our blazers and entered the auditorium through the backstage...percussion opened off the entrance by playing samba...haha...but the band didn't shout "OIE" with us...lol...but overall the concert was pretty good...I didn't really play any major parts...but porgy and bess section mates say cannot hear the gong...lol...whatever lorh...lol...the concert was too long in my parents opinion but they enjoyed it...My mum found out she used to give tuition to one of my band seniors...lol...parents get to re-live their band days...haha...after the concert we took section photos in the band room and bid farewell to the sec 4s who graduated already...well all the best to them...I think we did pretty ok for the concert...Hopefully next concert get to play bigger roles?...haha...Enjoyed the night...^^
